Kwalikum Secondary School Closing ... No Decision Yet

QUALICUM BEACH, B.C. (February 11, 2011) – The Board of School Trustees and the Council of the Town of Qualicum Beach met this week to discuss the District Facilities Review report prepared by Matrix Planning Associates. This meeting provided an excellent opportunity for the two publically elected bodies to exchange information regarding the School District and community needs.

Town Council and the School District 69 Qualicum School Board wish to reaffirm that no decision has yet been made regarding the possible closure of any school in the district.

The Trustees and Council members agreed to meet more frequently in the coming months to continue to communicate with each other with respect to issues of common interest. ~ submitted
