Jean Young, Arbutus Emporium, 2010 Business of the Year
Barry Blair, Citizen of the Year. A tireless volunteer with both Arrowsmith Search & Rescue and the Qualicum Beach Volunteer Fire Department
Karen Vanderberg, Volunteer of the Year - founding member of the Community Meals Lunch program at St. Stephen’s Church in Qualicum Beach.
Hilda Pearce, Lifetime Achievement Award.
Each award recipient received a one-of-a-kind sculpture crafted of Vancouver Island marble by Mike Rebar of Big Rock Sculpting in Parksville.
Did you know that The Beacon Magazine received the Qualicum Beach Chamber of Commerce Best New Business award for 2006. Yes, we did! And we’re still humbled by the honour.

Community Meals Program - Every Thursday between 11:15 am and 1:00 pm a free lunch is served in the hall for anyone in the community who would like a hot meal. Everyone is welcome!
