A Night of Island Pursuit

Yes we are trivia fans! Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 19th at the Lighthouse Community Centre, 240 Lions Way. We had such a positive response from last year’s games that we have spent the past year compiling questions that will test your knowledge of 2010 headlines, social issues, Canadiana and silly trivia.

Gather 5 of your smartest or goofiest friends and form a team of 6. Are your friends all out-of-town? Come anyway and we will form teams for you. Last year one of the most “creative” tables consisted of three couples that met for the first time that night.

Admission is $10 per person, or $55 for a table of six. Tickets may be purchased at The Beacon Magazine office (EyesOnBC) in Bowser and at the Mulberry Bush Book Store in Qualicum Beach. We will be selling plates of appetizers and sweets during the intermissions and beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Think you are not smart enough to answer any questions? Don’t worry, the judges also award points for inventive answers. Bribes for the judges (3) might score your team a point or two as well (as long as they are legal)!

The fundraiser for Bow Horne Bay Community Club will help raise funds for our Kwalicum Secondary School scholarships and operating costs for our Fall Fair in September.

Doors open Saturday March 19 at 7:00 and games start at 7:30 sharp. ~
